Hey, Tuesday readers

From puppies to surfing and seaside beers – this week's newsletter has it all.

On Thursday, April 6, Coledale RSL Club will reopen its doors to the general public, with volunteers serving behind the bar, 2 Smoking Barrels food truck catering to patrons and live music from 3pm. The new-look club has a fresh board of directors who've led a volunteer group of more than 60 people in revamping the seaside venue. I spoke with the newly appointed venue operations manager, David Lynch, about what to expect from the revitalised club.

Have you ever considered becoming a Guide Dogs' Puppy Raiser? Shell Cove resident Carol Robson has taken part in the program for three and a half years, seen three puppies reach their potential and recently took in a 12-week-old yellow Lab named Honey. Carol shares her experience as a puppy raiser with me as Guide Dogs is searching for more raisers in the Illawarra.

Catch you later,

Caitlin Sloan
