With the usual Sydney summer heat finally arriving mid-January, there’s no better time to pack some swimmers, a picnic and bring some friends along for a day at the pool - and for kids aged five and up, there’s plenty of fun waiting for them...
With inflatables popping up, pool promos for young people and the summer heat finally here, there’s no better time to pack some swimmers and gather your friends for a day at the pool.
There’s plenty of fun ahead for kids aged five and up (and even some for the teenagers!).

Inflatable Fun @ Shellharbour City Pools
Over a number of afternoons during the school holidays and until the end of February, Shellharbour City Council pools in Oak Flats, Warilla, and Albion Park will boast an inflatable obstacle course for little ninjas aged five to 14. Your little ones are invited to come down, make a splash and beat their best time from 1pm to 3pm on the dates below. Use of the obstacle course is free, though an entry fee to the pool may apply.

Pop Up @ the Pools
There's fun in store for teenagers and young adults this month too, with Wollongong Youth Services hosting Pop Up @ the Pools over the next two Fridays. From 12pm until 2pm on the following dates, the Youth Services team will be visiting pools in Unanderra and Helensburgh with snacks and loads of exciting giveaways in tow. Entry and participation is free for attendees aged 12 to 24.
