Avocado and Chocolate Dip

Local dietitian Manami Henderson shares this healthy chocolate dip recipe. Serve with your favourite fruit.

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 2 large avocadoes
  • 3 to 4 tbsp golden syrup, to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 50g cacao powder
  • Cut fruit of your choice, eg berries, kiwifruit, banana

Method

  1. Scoop out avocado flesh and place in the food processor
  2. Add vanilla extract, 1/2 the syrup, and cacao powder. Blend until a smooth paste, or mash with a fork
  3. Check the taste and add more syrup if you like
  4. Spoon out the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate until serving
  5. Serve chilled
