This week we celebrate Lunar New Year with our Asian friends and look at the food that is integral to celebrations. I visit the Nan Tien Temple on Lunar New Year's Day and get amongst the sights and sounds of this important date.
The Illawarra has a great selection of Asian supermarkets for all your cooking needs. Most of them have an array of unusual fruit and vegetables – take a look at the list and consider visiting one or two.
I put together a meal to celebrate the Lunar New Year – sticky rice from Nan Tien Temple, dumplings from a supermarket freezer and “restaurant quality” Asian greens.
