This week we're featuring an amalgam of celebrations – sustainable farming, locally roasted coffee and the Illawarra’s community gardens. I also share the secrets to making one of my favourite foods, homemade ricotta, and the myriad ways to use it.
The Illawarra has about 30 community gardens of varying shapes and sizes, all of them with communities of people working together to produce fresh food. Follow the links in the article to learn more about a few of them.
The farmers took over Valentine’s Day this week to create awareness of regenerative agriculture, a growing movement encouraging food production that’s healthy for the environment and consumers. February 14 was National Regenerative Agriculture Day.
And Ben Irvine, from Seven Miles Coffee Company (previously Delano), tells us about the business and the coffee.
Enjoy the array of flavours!
