The second swim for the Coalcliff Ocean Swim Club was held on Sunday, 30 October. It was glorious day and in total we had 36 swimmers.

More swimmers were keen to swim a second or third lap this time and people loosely formed into 'fast’, ‘medium’ and ‘slow’ pace groups so they could swim at their preferred pace. It’s great to see the growing confidence in the group. Quite a few swimmers stayed on for a cuppa and a chat and others are invited to stay afterwards next time.

The third swim was scheduled for Sunday, 13 November but the weather had other plans, with thunderstorms rolling in about 10am. For safety reasons, the decision was made to cancel the swim. When the storms cleared, it was great to see some of the club members going for a casual swim together while, later in the afternoon, others got their laps in at the pool.

A big shoutout to all the water safety crew from Coalcliff SLSC.

The next club swim is scheduled for Sunday, 27 November, proudly sponsored by Equilibrium Healthcare.
