Craft beer fans to benefit from Stoic Brewing's new taphouse
Sample award-winning beer in Barrack Heights as Stoic Brewing expands in Shellharbour
Art and ale mix at Stoic Brewing's new Shellharbour taphouse with those who appreciate small-batch, hand-crafted beers, created in microbreweries, set to enjoy themselves.
Stoic Brewing, which has a flagship Gerringong taphouse, has now opened a second site, this one in Sunset Avenue, Barrack Heights.
Co-owners of Stoic Brewing, Andrew Prosser and his father Steve, have 12 taps of craft beer on offer, as well as takeaway packs and food-truck fare, all from Thursday to Sunday. They have plans to create a distillery on-site.
“It’s a work in progress,” Andrew says.
“At the moment we are offering a number of award-winning beers including a pilsner and an XPA that were both awarded gold at the 2025 Australian International Beer Awards, and a pale ale that received bronze.”
Andrew says Stoic Brewing Shellharbour patrons have not only shown interest in the beers but also in an eye-catching artwork on the wall – depicting a quirky dog and a skeletal character – by staff member Olivia Cooke (Instagram @artbylivc).

Stoic Brewing is at 4/7 Sunset Ave, Barrack Heights.
Opening hours:
- Thursday 5-8pm
- Friday 5-8pm
