Live outside the area and want to subscribe to receive a printed magazine each month? It's $89 per year, including p&p.

Where to pick up a magazine?

You can pick up copies of the latest Illawarra Flame magazine at Thirroul, Austinmer, Helensburgh and East Woonona newsagencies, plus Helensburgh Post Office, cafes and other local businesses.

What area do you letterbox?

Northern edition: Letterboxed to 11k homes and business from Waterfall to Bulli. This area includes Helensburgh, Darkes Forest, Otford, Stanwell Tops, Stanwell Park, Coalcliff, Clifton, Scarborough, Wombarra, Coledale, Austinmer, Thirroul.

There are a couple of streets in Austinmer where it's not safe or practical for our walkers to deliver – if you live in one of the streets above the railway station, please pick up a magazine at Austinmer or Thirroul Newsagencies.

Southern edition: Letterboxed to 7k homes in Shell Cove, Shellharbour Village, Barrack Point and surrounding suburbs.

When do you deliver?

Northern edition: In the first week of each month. Letterboxing may take three to seven days, depending on the weather.

Southern edition: At the start of each season, ie December, March, June and September.

How many magazines do you deliver?

Norther edition: 11,000 magazines each month.

Southern edition: 7000 magazines each quarter.

I have a "No Junk Mail" sticker – will I still receive a magazine?

Yes. Community news is not classified as junk mail.

We employ a unique team of walkers who only deliver our magazines – no other leaflets, inserts or catalogues.

If your mailbox has a sticker saying "Posted letters only", "Addressed mail only" or "No newspapers or circulars", then we will not deliver.

If you're receiving a magazine and don't want one, please let us know so we can add you to a "Do Not Deliver" list.

Australia Post has information on managing junk mail and the Distribution Standards Board (DSB) has guidelines on letterboxing.

Who does all the hard work?

We have a trusty team of paid local walkers – from teenagers taking on their first job to retirees who enjoy exercise with a purpose. The slopes of the escarpment make for a great work out!

Do you have any job vacancies?

We're always happy to receive applications. Simply email us your name, age, residential address and contact details.
