ILLAWARRA FOLK FREE CONCERT AT DON'S FARM - SUNDAY 31st AUGUST

Sunday 31st August is the last Sunday in winter so it should be celebrated with a folk club get-together on the day. At 10:30 AM we will open the gates and let you all into Don's Farm and at about 11 AM we will start the music which will be provided by members of the folk club (about eight acts). Each act will play for about 20 minutes so plenty of time to eat, drink and talk in between acts. I reckon we will finish about 4-ish or when people get tired of it. There is no set time for being there – you can come and go as you please as it is very informal and sociable which is what folk is about. You should bring your picnic lunch and your drinks and if you have forgotten to renew your membership of the club, we will have people on hand to renew it for you (it is not compulsory) AND you don’t have to be a member to come so make a family day of it

- Bring your grandkids (great place for kids), kids, grandparents, in-laws, out-laws, neighbours and anyone you love. You don’t need to, but might be an idea to chuck in a folding chair if you have room once you have all of those friends and relatives in your car. The farm is run by the Rotary Club of Dapto and they are famous for their sausage sandwiches. They have a van at the Farm where they produce these delicacies for the princely sum of $3.50, and yes, they do vegetarian sausages as well. Please register on our folk club's website for a free ticket and, for catering purposes, please indicate if you might purchase a sausage. Thank you
