The annual Illawarra Folk Festival is held over three days. The 2024 festival will 8 venues with 80 acts.
The festival will include the sounds of folk, indie, world, roots, bluegrass, Balkan and Celtic music, as well as poetry, comedy and dance.
Acclaimed Irish singer-songwriters Wallis Bird and Andy Irvine, young Scottish fiddle maestro Ryan Young and his countrymen, celebrated Celtic band Tannahill Weavers and the Scottish/Irish quartet Dallahan head a strong international line-up.
National acts range from National Living Treasure Ted “The Drover’s Boy” Egan to singer-songwriter Alana Wilkinson, Jordan Ireland from Queensland Indie band The Middle East, and Indigenous performers the Stiff Gins, Jessie Lloyd and Pirritu.
You can camp onsite or stay in top quality accommodation nearby. There is plenty of onsite carparking and Bulli train station is a short walk away.
The festival commences on Friday afternoon, 4pm, and concludes on Sunday evening with a finale with special guests.
