The 14th annual Illawarra Shoalhaven Dementia forum will be held at the Fraternity Club in Fairy Meadow on 17th September this year. Doors open at 9.30am and the Forum will run from 10am till 3pm.
There will be presentations from representatives of Dementia Australia, Federal Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing and Childhood Dementia Initiatives plus stories from carers of people living with dementia and a person with dementia during the morning session.
The afternoon session will be devoted to the benefits of the services of Allied Health professionals for everyone as they age.
During the lunch break attendees can gather information from the many displays by Aged Care providers, researchers, technology specialists and the Aged Care Specialist officer from the Department of Services (Centrelink).
There will also be an Expo of works of Art created by people living with dementia.
The event is free but registrations are necessary for catering processes
