Come and celebrate Lunar New Year at the Crown Street Night Markets!
Enjoy free entertainment and your favourite street foods as we welcome the Year of the Rabbit, and the Year of the Cat.
Did you know when a lion pretends to bite the heads of onlookers it’s to give them good luck? Witness traditional Lion Dance performances throughout the evening to bring good luck, drive away evil spirits and welcome the new year.
Performance times:
- 5:30pm-6:30pm – Maria Wang + Chasing the Dreams. Traditional Gu Zheng harp and guitar live music performance.
- 6:30pm and 8:00pm – 30 minute Traditional Lion Dance Performances commencing at the Mall stage, and travelling around the Crown St Markets.
