Get set for Clean Up Australia Day: Join a local group or register an event

My family registered for our Clean Up kit last year and took to Stanwell Park to do our good deed. It was fantastic for the kids. They loved it and it was a great opportunity to start a discussion about littering and sustainable living.

Clean Up Australia Day 2023, Stanwell Park

Clean Up Australia Day is back on Sunday, March 3. This annual event is a chance for our community to unite in a collective effort to restore and preserve our natural, beautiful landscape.

My family registered for our Clean Up kit last year and took to Stanwell Park to do our good deed. It was fantastic for the kids. They loved it and it was a great opportunity to start a discussion about littering and sustainable living.

Clean Up Australia Day is not merely a call to action – it shows the power of grassroots initiatives in bringing about tangible change. Whether it's our local parks, beaches, waterways or streets, no corner of our community is exempt from the impacts of litter and pollution. However, by joining or registering a site for Clean Up Australia Day, individuals, families, schools, businesses and community groups can help rejuvenate these spaces.

Below are 10 local places where you can join the clean-up:

  • Traction Possums 2024 – Meet 10am at Miners Memorial Park, cnr Foothills Road & Caldwell Ave, Balgownie. Everyone is welcome, including kids and reluctant friends!
