Dr Helen Maclean

Dr Helen Maclean is a general practitioner at Bulli Medical Practice with specialist interests in women’s health, antenatal care, paediatrics and mental health. Helen completed her medical degree at the University of NSW in 2006. She worked at Wollongong Hospital prior to completing her general practice training and gaining her fellowship to the RACGP in 2013. Prior to her medical studies, Helen completed a Bachelor of Science, Majoring in Psychology. She incorporates this expertise into general practice and cares for many patients with anxiety, depression, eating disorders and gender issues.

Just this week the first Australian clinical practice guidelines for ADHD were released, which will help to increase awareness and understanding. We hope it also leads to more straightforward diagnosis and treatment pathways for our patients, and GPs becoming more actively involved in the process.
