Helensburgh Guides plant fresh herb and flower garden
Helensburgh Guides planted mint, thyme, rosemary, marigolds and petunias
By Annabel S, 11, Helensburgh Girl Guides
A couple of weeks ago, we worked together to create our own herb and flower garden. We started by clearing and weeding our chosen space in the garden. We then prepared holes ready to plant our plants.
We planted mint, thyme, rosemary, marigolds and petunias. The plants have had two weeks of growth over the school holidays and I’m excited to see how much they have really grown.
Pro-gardening tips: always wear gloves to protect your hands and, after planting, water thoroughly.
