Some of you may have met Hazel or Ranger, our two shop dogs in training. Well, this Easter Saturday we’ll be hosting a more thematically appropriate four-legged guest! Bring your little ones along to a special Easter morning with bookseller Ellie and her gorgeous pet rabbit, Jerry. No need to book for this casual Saturday morning event. Pop in, meet Jerry, and hopefully catch an Easter story!
On Wednesday, 19 April from 10am, in the second week of the school holidays, author Sue Whiting is hosting an in-store adventure based on her new middle-grade novel, Pearly and Pig and the Lost City of Mu Savan. There will be activities for ages 6-12, should be great fun! Bookings essential.
For the adults this month, we’re very excited to celebrate the release of the fifth art book from Amber Creswell Bell, Australian Abstract (a signed copy would make a fantastic Mother’s Day gift). Amber will be in conversation with two of the featured artists, Paul Higgs and Aaron Fell-Fracasso on Wednesday, 26 April, 6.30 for 7pm upstairs at Ryan’s Hotel Thirroul. Bookings essential.
To round off the month, there will be a cosy in-store event on Friday 28 April, 6.30 for 7pm. Margaret Throsby will be in conversation with author Susan McCreery about her new book All the Unloved (another perfect Mother’s Day gift!). Bookings essential.
