It's been a lively couple of months for Helensburgh Probus Club. Firstly a very enjoyable Bass and Flinders Lunchtime Cruise from the Sans Souci Wharf. Then 37 of us took a 5-day luxury coach trip to Parkes and surrounding region including The Dish and Dubbo Zoo. Plus recently a group of us enjoyed a delightful High Tea at Parliament House!
This was all in addition to our monthly "Foot and Mouth" walks, firstly a ferry over to Manly in March, then in April a very interesting historical tour of The Rocks. All that plus our usual monthly Bowls and Golf days.
Most recently we held our President's Picnic at Woronora Dam to welcome our 2023/24 President, Pam Carter. We enjoyed a lovely sunny day.
It proves, to me anyway, how important these social events are for both mental and physical well being, as well as the support that is available from the peer group when things aren't going to plan!
