Is anyone else a podcast fanatic? I certainly am. Particularly after becoming a parent, I've found that listening to podcasts is the ultimate multitasking activity. No time to catch up on the news – listen to The Squiz Today; no time to learn about the latest celebrity gossip – listen to Shameless. Which brings me to parenting podcasts. I'm not sure if it has made me a better parent but at least listening to some guidance has helped me feel like a better parent – even if it is just to feel a sense of camaraderie.
Below are my go-to parenting podcasts:
- Parental As Anything
Parenting guru Maggie Dent hosts this podcast. She is so calming and rational, and offers practical tips for coping with challenges. - Beyond the Bump
This is hosted by Jayde Couldwell and Sophie Pearce, two women from Byron, but they are far from the usual woo-woo from that way. They talk about everything from mental health to periods to newborn sleep tips. - This Glorious Mess
From the Mamamia network, this podcast features two young women, Tegan Natoli and Leigh Campbell, who take you through the everyday highs and lows of parenting, plus speak to an expert each week. - Beyond The Likes
Amy Gerard has turned her candid social media content into a weekly podcast. Juggling three kids, this is as chaotic as life would be but somehow it works.
