Manic Organic store gifted to Need a Feed

23 November 2021: Need a Feed media release

The Manic Organic store in Woonona has been gifted to local charity Need a Feed.

In light of this amazing news, Manic Organic in Woonona will reopen on the 6th of December where it will see all profits from retail sales going directly to Need a Feed. This will allow for Need a Feed to grow and potentially expand the community services currently being provided.

Due to Covid, the Manic Organic business has been temporarily closed since August 23, 2021.

CEO and Need a Feed Founder Shaz Harrison says: “We are so grateful to the owner for gifting Manic Organic to Need a Feed, it will allow our organisation to grow and help us to continue our community service.”

Manic Organic will continue to provide high quality organic produce, a range of organic grocery items and organic bread.

The shop will initially operate 3 days per week, fresh produce at the end of each week will distributed to our charity partners and cooked into fresh meals to be given to people in need whether it be to low-income families, those in isolation or the homeless.

From the location, Need a Feed will have a storage space for non-perishable food, pack food ‘gifts’ and also distribute food to their charity partners.

Future plans for the location include, basic training courses, community dinners, fundraising events and a meeting space for support services.
