Transport for NSW Traffic Alert: 21 Feb 2023
Motorists are advised a section of the Illawarra Highway at Macquarie Pass will be closed next week to allow for maintenance work to be carried out.
The Illawarra Highway will be closed in both directions between Tourist and Yellow Rock roads between 9am and 3pm, from Tuesday 28 February to Thursday 2 March, weather permitting.
Work will include drain and sign repairs, maintenance, vegetation clearing and rubbish collection.
Detours will be in place for all motorists via the Hume Motorway, Picton Road and M1 Princes Motorway, adding up to 30 minutes additional travel time.
Jamberoo Mountain Road is currently closed to motorists.
Property access will be maintained throughout the work.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and to follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
