For an artist, the whole world is like a message found in a bottle. They must decode it in their own unique way and share it with the viewer. In an artwork even the most realistic representation of the world is based on the imagination of the artist. They interpret for us.
IAVA member and curator Moira Kirkwood is excited by what has come together:
When there’s a gathering of 22 different artists, the conversation between their artworks can be a surprise and delight. Unexpected things arise. Some works say edgy things, while others have a more traditional approach. There are dreamy imaginings, dark thoughts, and works full of joy.
This exhibition includes paintings, drawings, monoprints, collages and sculpture.
Free entry, all welcome. The gallery is wheelchair accessible.
