Merrigong Theatre Company will present The Listies: 110% Ready in the School Holidays, 18 – 19 Jul at Illawarra Performing Arts Centre.
The rock stars of the kids’ comedy world, The Listies, are back again with a brand-new show. Award-winning comedians, Matt Kelly and Richard Higgins, walk the perfect line between making kids laugh outrageously while keeping the parents amused.
Now get ready for 110% Ready where Rich and Matt do something no family in Australia has ever done before: leave the house on time! Well, that’s what Rich thinks anyway. Matt on the other hand has a different plan. He may or may not have accidentally flushed the car keys down the toilet…
With a polyglot of puns, silly slapstick sight gags, and a splash of improvisational idiocy, 110% Ready sees the masters of mirth do what they do best.
The Listies are Richard Higgins and Matt Kelly, a comedy double act who are serious about being silly. To date, they have written ten award-winning & critically acclaimed live shows, collaborated with most major theatre companies and festivals in Australia, toured three continents, recorded four albums, and published two books with Penguin - and they have four books on the way.
In 2023, they won Best Kids Show at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, and have previously received a Sydney Theatre Award, ‘The HarperCollins Best Designed Children’s Fiction Book’, and the Best Independent show (Golden Gibbo Award) at Melbourne International Comedy Festival
Merrigong Creativity Camp is also on in the July School Holidays. Children will explore their creativity and confidence through drama games, music and creative workshops. Held in the Wollongong Town Hall, 14 – 18 Jul.
