Night work on the M1 Princes Motorway and Masters Road

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions next week on the M1 Princes Motorway between Memorial Drive at North Wollongong and Masters Road at Figtree for routine maintenance work.

To minimise impacts on motorists, work will be carried out on Masters Road between Springhill Road and the M1 Princes Motorway at Figtree over two nights on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 August between 8pm and 4am, weather permitting.

Both westbound lanes on Masters Road will be closed on Monday 17 August. Both eastbound lanes on Masters Road will be closed on Tuesday 18 August.

Detours will be in place via the M1 Princes Motorway, Five Islands Road and Springhill Road, with motorists advised to allow up to 10 minutes of additional travel time. 

On the M1 Princes Motorway between Memorial Drive at North Wollongong and Masters Road at Figtree, work will be carried out on both northbound and southbound lanes for four nights from Monday 17 to Thursday 20 August between 8pm and 4am, weather permitting.

Single lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

There will be intermittent closures of the on and off ramps on the M1 Princes Motorway between Memorial Drive and Masters Road, with signs in place.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
