Here are three operational dairy farms that are close to the Illawarra, and tips on where to find their products:

The Pines Kiama

The Pines Kiama is a micro-dairy that was established in 1854. Popular for their gelato and cheese, you can find their products at their store in Kiama or at the weekly Kiama Farmers' Market. Regenerative methods are used to ensure the health of the land and the best quality dairy products. Regenerative Beef is also available.

Highland Organics – Moss Vale

Moss Vale farmer Bill Smillie runs an organic farm in the Southern Highlands and Nowra, producing cheese, milk, yoghurt and cream all with organic certification. Available locally from Leisure Coast.

Tilba Dairy

A bit further south, the Jersey herds in the green pastures of Tilba have been delivering milk, yoghurt and cheese for over 25 years. When you’re next down that way, drop into the factory and retail store in Central Tilba. Available locally from Flame Tree Co-op, Thirroul.
