At Taluca Park Free Range Farm in the Southern Highlands, we have been farming free-range eggs for about six years and supplying eggs to the Flame Free Food Co-op in Thirroul for four years.
Our girls are all free-range hens guarded by a team of amazing Maremma working dogs to keep them safe from predators. Maremmas have been bred in Italy for centuries to guard farm animals. We couldn’t run a true free-range pasture-raised egg farm without them. Our eggs are collected daily and packed and delivered by us to various outlets throughout the Southern Highlands, Sydney and Wollongong.

We believe in rotational grazing and holistic management. We don’t use any chemicals on the land. Our birds are relocated onto fresh pasture on a weekly basis, where they can scratch and peck for worms, dust bathe and roam free. We never have more than 24 chickens to an acre. Our use of biodynamic principles and looking after the land is a huge part of what we do.
We are a family-run farm whose dedication and passion for producing amazingly healthy produce is what we love best. Our girls produce delicious eggs all year round but we do have a short supply in the winter months when the girls naturally decrease production due to the colder weather and shorter days. We hope you enjoy our delicious true free-range eggs as much as we love producing them.
