Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week on Tongarra Road and the Princes Highway at Albion Park Rail for drainage work.
Tongarra Road will be closed between Ash Avenue and Ti Tree Avenue for three nights to replace a damaged drain, resurface the road, and restore line markings.
Work will be carried out between 7pm and 5am from Monday 4 to Wednesday 6 May, weather permitting.
Detours for light vehicles will be in place via Maple Street, Station Road and the Princes Highway, adding five minutes to journeys.
Heavy vehicles over 5 tonnes and 14.5 metres long will need to detour via the Princes Motorway, the Oak Flats Interchange and the Princes Highway, returning to Tongarra Road at Albion Park Rail, adding up to 10 minutes to journey times.
Bus stops 252783, 252782 and 252797 will be temporarily relocated to just outside the closure area during work hours.
Work to repair drainage culverts will also be carried out along sections of the Princes Highway between Yallah and the Oak Flats Interchange and on Tongarra Road from the Princes Highway for one kilometre.
Work will be carried out between 8pm and 4am Sunday to Thursday nights from Monday 11 May for up to six weeks, weather permitting.
Single lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place during the work for the safety of workers and motorists.
Residents and businesses within the work areas will be able to access their properties at all times under the guidance of traffic control.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
