Helensburgh Public School is thrilled by the outstanding achievements of our talented students in the Operation Art 2025 Exhibition
By Nina Sampson, Year 1 teacher at Helensburgh Public School
Helensburgh Public School is thrilled by the outstanding achievements of our talented students in the Operation Art 2025 Exhibition. This prestigious program showcases young artists from across New South Wales, with selected works displayed at the Art Gallery of NSW and regional galleries before becoming part of permanent hospital collections.
This year, two of our students, Olivia D (Fruitful) and Kiara W (Flora of our school), were chosen in the highly regarded ‘Hospital 50’ category. Their artworks will not only be exhibited but will also become part of the Children’s Hospital at Westmead’s permanent collection, bringing joy and inspiration to patients and families for years to come.

We also extend our congratulations to Zach D (Friends between the trees), whose work was selected in the ‘ArtBank’ category. Through this program, artworks are donated to regional hospitals and healthcare services throughout NSW, ensuring that communities across the state benefit from the creativity and vision of young artists.
We could not be prouder of Olivia, Kiara, and Zach for their incredible talents and achievements. Their success is a testament to their creativity, dedication, and the power of art to uplift and inspire. Congratulations once again, we are so proud of you all!
