Apple Shack at Darkes Glenbernie Orchard

Edward Charles Fahey and his wife Ellen began farming at Darkes Glenbernie Orchard in 1939. Five generations later, our family are still growing apples and other fruits, selling them from our Appleshack farm shop.

Our award-winning apple cider, apple cider vinegar and honey mead can be enjoyed at the AppleShack. Farm experience tours get you a back door look at the world of orcharding.  We are really proud of our ‘pick your own’ and other special event days on the farm that celebrate horticulture and apple wine (cider) making.

We have become a destination.

Visit and buy the best fresh fruit from the Appleshack, sip on a cider or pick your own from our fruit trees. Right now, our larger scale events have been put on hold until further notice due to COVID-19, however, you can purchase our delicious fruit, honey and cider in-store or through our online shop!
