And I’m not sure how this one passed me by, but Tarrawanna cafe and emporium Little Bird & Co is a must-visit for locals. After opening on the first day of the last lockdown, this unique business went on to win the outstanding cafe category in the 2022 Local Business Awards. Outdoor dining trial
One positive from the pandemic was that it inspired the authorities to relax the rules for outdoor dining. In 2020, the NSW government made changes to streamline the approval process for licensed venues to apply for outdoor dining on footpaths and in public spaces.
Wollongong City Council is seeking your opinion on the trial outdoor dining spaces in Crown Lane, Globe Lane, Crown St Mall and Lower Crown St. Follow the link to take the survey. You have until the end of February to comment.
