Who doesn’t love a cannoli, the delicious Italian fried pastry shell filled with creamy ricotta. Celebrating their 8^th birthday, Paticcieria Massimo Papa on Princes Highway Fairy Meadow, will be reducing the price of their large and small cannoli. Enter the cannoli eating competition if you dare!

Illawarra Women’s Day of Dance and Culture – Sunday 5 March

Healthy Cities is celebrating NSW Women’s Week with an event to connect over food, traditional dance and music at Edmund Rice College in Mt Keira. Funds raised will be re-invested in women and children’s programs and events.

New cafe in Gwyneville – Bread, Espresso &

To complement their other cafes in Thirroul and North Wollongong, the team from Bread, Espresso & have opened up a cafe next door to ethical and responsible butcher, Cleaver & Co.

Fun fine dining Mexican restaurant in Thirroul

The team behind Papi’s burger joint in Thirroul are opening a Mexican cantina in the old Commonwealth Bank building, formerly the home of Para. They are expecting to attract the late night post-gig crowds from Anita’s Theatre.

Cafes for sale

There is a change in the air for the northern suburbs cafe scene. Long-standing café Cucina is for sale, as is the cafe directly opposite, Two Mountains. On the other side of the railway line, Revive 2515 is also for sale. Two Sisters in Bulli and the Broken Drum in Fairy Meadow are also looking for buyers.
