There is always a lot happening in the foodie world of the Illawarra and this year's busy lead-up to Christmas is no different. Among the many exciting things going on in our region are: the opening of a new organic grocer in Woonona; Blackbird Cafe in Thirroul is serving up fresh, seasonal food and helping those in need; and Wollongong Online Farmers Market is now delivering.
As Christmas nears, our thoughts turn to celebrating over food with friends and family. Dietitian Manami Henderson helps me unravel common food intolerances and allergies, and she also shares a creamy chocolate mousse recipe with a surprising ingredient. I share tips for pre-Christmas markets and lunch out on Christmas Day.
