What's on at the Writers Centre in November
Film Club returns on Saturday, there's poetry on Sunday. Plus, SCWC authors will be at Berry Writers Festival. Don’t miss these events and more at the South Coast Writers Centre
The Vintage, Book & Art Bazaar is back in November! Come along to Coledale Community Hall on Sunday, 22 November from 10am to 2:30pm for a curated line-up of stallholders sharing a wide range of art, handmade goods, locally published books, rare vintage and unique retro products.
The bazaar is a celebration of the local artistic community in the Illawarra and helps fundraise for the SCWC’s writing programs.
Held indoors, this is an all-weather market that will happen rain, hail or shine! Grab a coffee at one of Coledale’s nearby cafes and browse wares from artists, makers and sellers like Ink Bound Studio, Miss Chopsticks Origami Jewellery, LIMP Zine, 5 Islands Press and more.

Also coming up in November is the second-last Film Club of the year, featuring Jordan Peele’s Oscar-winning directorial debut Get Out (Saturday 7th), and an online poetry double feature where Tim Loveday will lead a workshop on metaphor and image and then give a free poetry reading via Zoom (Sunday 8th).
If you fancy a trip down to Berry, local authors and SCWC members Helena Fox, Lauren Keegan, Seana Smith, Alyssa J. Montgomery and Gwen Wilson feature on two free panels as part of the Berry Writers Festival (Saturday 7th).
