The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is calling on the community to have their say on a zone off the Illawarra coast proposed for future offshore renewable energy projects – particularly offshore wind, but potentially also solar, wave and tidal energy projects.
The proposed 1461sq/km area is from Wombarra to Kiama, and is at least 10km from the coast.
