Big crowds flock to VOICES in the Mall
Efforts to enliven Wollongong CBD after dark appear to be working.
For the second time this month, Wollongong CBD has invested in creative ways to bring the city heart to life.

A fortnight ago, six inner-city venues hosted six hours of live music with the inaugural one-day Jazz in the City festival.
Over the past three nights, to celebrate the winter solstice, the family-friendly art installation, VOICES, added a new dimension to a night-time visit to the city mall.

Everyone seemed to be enjoying the vibe at the silent disco and street performers gave visitors a rare treat outside The historic Church on the Mall.

Live acoustic music on Saturday night was the icing on the cake for another successful initiative to help bring the city - often maligned as being “dead after dark” - to life.
