Ahead of the Matildas’ match against France on Saturday, with FIFA Women’s World Cup fever taking hold, auction buyers were feeling similarly competitive. The Ray White Group recorded a 76 per cent clearance rate nationally. The group recorded 4.6 average registered bidders across the country, while 2.9 were active on average.

In Helensburgh, the auction of 50 Laurina Ave undertaken by Ray White Helensburgh was well attended by bidders and spectators. The amazing property had bushland on three sides, was very well proportioned and boasted a stunning swimming pool.

With four bidders all from the local area registered, it came down to two keen buyers taking the final price up to $1,775,000. Not quite the record for the street ($2.195m for 8 Laurina Ave in October 2022) but a good price nevertheless.

Some other good sales in the past few weeks demonstrate the competition still thriving in the market:

  • 36 The Waves, Thirroul – $1,790,000 sold by Dignam Real Estate
  • 233 Lawrence Hargrave Dr, Thirroul – $2,550,000 sold by One Agency
  • 8/9 Stuart St, Helensburgh – $900,000 sold by Raine & Horne Helensburgh
