Make a date with school fete, farm tours, art openings and more
This afternoon Green Connect urban farm at Warrawong is running tours and a picnic, while this evening over at Sunset Cinema in Wollongong Botanic Garden, Crime 101 will be showing on the big screen under the stars.
Lucky Friday the 13th is also the official opening night for two exhibitions at Wollongong Art Gallery: This is Not a Solo Show and We are the land we walk upon, filmed across Siksika land in Canada and Yaegl and Tharawal lands in Australia.
On Saturday, Climate Action Week Sydney is coming to Wollongong with Illawarra Climate Action, in Action, a family-friendly open day at Science Space on the Innovation Campus. And for all the fun of the fair – including Side Show Alley, Putt for Dough and the Chocolate Toss – don't miss the Helensburgh Holy Cross School Fete on Saturday, 10am-2pm.
Tonight at the Side Door Theatre: Diana McLaren is Detached (and testing material for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival). On Saturday night, Craft Music presents Ben Lee: On Tour Always at Wombarra Bowlo and at IPAC, Sydney Musical and Opera Society presents Some Enchanted Evening with baritone Simon Militano taking the audience on a theatrical journey.
