Hello, Wednesday readers

2 November 2022

Friends, it has been a fabulous week with lots of mini adventures. Did you get a chance to get out and explore your local patch?

If you're looking for somewhere with great facilities but lots of space to call your own, I highly recommend Blackbutt Forest Reserve. You can read about my couple of ambles there this week. I also chatted to Tracey Storm, one of the Directors of Wildlife Stations Shoalhaven, not only about their work in the immediate aftermath of the horrific bushfires a couple of years ago, but their ongoing efforts to save local wildlife and how you can help.

As the weather warms up, it's baby time and this week Nature Notes focuses on Grey-headed flying foxes and their adorable pups, and why you might see turtles crossing the road – and, yes, it is to get to the other side!

As always, get in touch if you have a nature-based cause or business you'd like to tell our readers about and, until next week,

I'll see you outdoors,

Amanda
