Hi, Wednesday readers

The things you find on your wanders. I'm going to assume it's good luck to find a horse shoe if you're on a hike. Except maybe if you're a horse!

My week was filled with Fringe Lilies on my walk and other assorted flowers (including some from my husband), a Blood Moon and a fabulous chat with Illawarra Birders president, Ralph Stadus. It's always great to chat to someone who you share a passion with – Ralph tells us why he loves birding, shares highlights from the year and tells us about the club itself.

Get involved with a citizen science project to help discover where all the Christmas Beetles have gone, and read about the weirdos you meet in the bush.
