Hello, Thursday readers
Its coming
This week I speak with another three Illawarra foodies.
Manami Henderson is a dietitian and Japanese cooking aficionado who also works with Healthy Cities Illawarra as a Health Promotion Officer. I talk to her about her many hats (roles, not headwear).
The community at Flame Tree Co-op in Thirroul has recently farewelled their shop manager, Gini Purcell. Gini tells me about how her love of real food came about, her previous careers and her time with the co-op.
Finally, I take a look at the suburb of Cringila and all its cultural foodie delights, which I was introduced to through a tour with Port Kembla foodie Nina Cantina.
I profile the Middle Eastern spice mix za'atar, and Manami shares a recipe with us featuring miso.
Enjoy,
Susan
