As our Probus club didn’t have our regular monthly meeting in February it was decided to have lunch instead. It was enjoyed by our members at the Helensburgh Tradies.
Another group enjoyed a great bus trip to view the construction work at the new Western Sydney Airport at Badgerys Creek. We visited the Western Sydney International Experience Centre where we were given some interesting facts about the new airport being constructed. We were told how the work is proceeding and when it will become operational. We all enjoyed a lovely morning tea, supplied by some of the ladies in a local park and then continued to the Wallacia Hotel for lunch.
This month’s lawn bowls at Scarborough-Wombarra Bowling Club was played on a beautiful summer’s day with 29 members attending.
Our AGM in March will be our first meeting as a group since March 2020. We will also be celebrating our club’s 17th anniversary. This meeting will be held at the Tradies at Gymea as they can accommodate all our members in one of their function rooms. We hope to see many members attending.
