Men's Shed ready to spark creativity, purpose and grins

Imagine a place where the hustle and bustle of life fades away, where you can sit quietly in a green field and tilt your head back to the sun (or the rain, of course).

Imagine hearing gumleaves caressing each other, and in winter, the crackle of a campfire. Imagine a place where stories are shared, lives are opened, burdens drop away, and smiles become ... natural.

And this one is just down the road – if you're in the Helensburgh area.

​Imagine your hands guiding a plane along sweet-smelling timber, the shavings curling like a Stanny breaker. Or the excitement when your recalcitrant whipper starts and runs, BBBRRRRR, after so long being a pain.

Perhaps there's the thrill of seeing a native animal or insect pop its head out of a home you made for it from rescued timber. That treasured family item, languishing in the garage, is now rescued, fixed, polished and made beautiful by your hands.

​Your Men’s Shed offers so much, and now there’s a nice new meeting room to enjoy the simple pleasure of settling back for a quiet cuppa, perhaps a game of cards, or the chance to become a chess master. Of course, there’s woodwork, metalwork, machine repairs, craft and more. We even have a (one-hole, par TBC) golf course.

​Perhaps even dare to imagine being able to give your wife, husband or partner a nice break for themselves while you're at the Shed. Imagine yourself doing something new in your life.
