Stanwell Park Arts Theatre begins year on a high note
The SPAT Singers will meet for the first time this year on Friday, January 23 at the CWA hall in Stanwell Park
The 2025 panto, 12 Hours ‘til Christmas, written by SPAT members Rachael Kiddier and Christine Higgins and directed by father/daughter duo, Tom and Katie Peach was a huge success.
It was the first time ever in our 51-year history that all five performances were sold out before the end of November. Everyone loved the show and people were begging to be squeezed in but there was just no more room. We put people on waiting lists and a few of these managed to get a seat due to last-minute cancellations, but there were many disappointed people.
In fact, all our other productions in 2025 – including The Tap Cats of the Sunshine Coast, SPAT Singers' dinner show and soiree Riversong, Peter and The Wolf and the radio play Sherlock Holmes; The Case of the Haunted Chateau – performed to full houses.
We can’t thank our local patrons enough for their continued support. We wouldn’t have survived our 51 years without you. We would hate to see anyone miss out on this year’s line-up, so be sure to book early.
Some of our members have already put forward ideas for the 2026 program. We will be able to give you more details over the next few months, so stay tuned.
Join SPAT Singers
The SPAT Singers ended the year performing Christmas carols to the 100-plus residents at The Donald Robinson Anglicare Retirement Village in Kirrawee. We also sang carols to the residents of Hillcrest nursing home in Stanwell Park.
If you enjoy singing, playing a musical instrument or both, the SPAT Singers will welcome you with open arms. We meet every Friday evening at the Stanwell Park CWA Hall at 7pm, starting from January 23.
