Dr Jodi Edwards' inspirational Welcome to Country set the tone for a series of captivating and thought-provoking conversations at 2023's True Story festival of creative non-fiction last month.

Hundreds of readers gathered at Coledale Community Hall on November 18 and 19 to hear a diverse program of speakers, including authors Wendy Harmer, Chris Masters, Indira Naidoo, Bronwyn Adcock, Jodi Edwards, Eda Gunaydin, Fiona Weir Walmsley, Jack Manning Bancroft, Alan Sunderland, Siobhan McHugh and Jackie Dent.

2023's festival was brought to you by Caroline Baum of Life Sentences podcast, the South Coast Writers Centre and the Illawarra Flame, with funding from Culture Bank Wollongong and support from Coledale RSL and Collins Booksellers Thirroul.
