Now the election is behind us and Labor looks set to form majority government there seemed to be more buyers around on the weekend just gone.
A few good sales also went through. Stanwell Park had its first few sales since the start of the year with 45 Lawrence Hargrave Dr going for $1,875,000 and 35 Sheridan Crescent $1,675,000 (both sales by Ray White Helensburgh).
A sale in Thirroul breached the $3m mark with 30 Kilncar Crescent, Thirroul going for $3,135,000 organised by One Agency. And a nice property sold by AM Rutty in Wombarra at 140 Morrison Avenue, Wombarra broke the $2m mark reaching $2,100,000.
Meanwhile in Helensburgh a flood of townhouses, villas and duplexes have hit the market. One of the new duplexes went swiftly on Harper Lane for $1,240,00. And in Stanwell Tops a small house on Bendena Gardens sold quickly as well for $1,100,000. Both sales by Ray White Helensburgh.
Next week expect another interest rate rise by the RBA. The increase could be as much as 0.4% in an attempt to bring rates back to more “normal” levels. The real estate market will likely remain flat for a period now we are in a rate rising environment and more properties on the market to choose from.
