It was good to have a break, but gosh, it's good to be back! We did the holiday at home thing, with loads of bush walks, ocean swims and creatures great and small.

This week, I bring you the story of a super-exciting discovery of a new-to-science species of millipede right here in the Illawarra. And it glows! We look at a plant that blossoms over the party season but only after dark, and a creature you might not have known that we have in the Illawarra – the scorpion.

Here's to a great year!
