Welcome to another edition of Wednesday Wild
Wind blown but happy to see some sun!

Hello and happy Wednesday!

Okay, I admit it, I used this photo just to draw attention to the cardigan I crocheted during the recent rain. But, boy, was I relieved to get some sunshine. And my trip to the beach was perfect timing as I got to see a huge stranding of bluebottles, along with other members of the Blue Fleet. I always love beach-combing as there's just something so fascinating about getting to witness creatures, like those that came ashore this week, that are usually found only in the open ocean.

Speaking of fascinating creatures, this week I chatted to four 'whale tragics', people who spend hours looking for whales, about why they do it and the incredible encounters they've had along the way. There's still a few weeks left for the annual humpback whale migration and this might just inspire you to head to your nearest headland to see what all the fuss is about.

Until next week,

I'll see you outdoors.
