Hi, I’m Christine and I live with my husband, my two grandchildren and our adorable pup, Banjo. I have a deep love of nature and my passion is photographing any wildlife I can. I am also learning astrophotography using my telescope.

I love anywhere around Lake Illawarra. There is an abundance of bird life there, especially pelicans. They’re such characters and always fun to take photos of.

I also love heading to Bass Point in Shellharbour during whale season. The whales come in really close to the rocky platform. We often see them and their new calves breaching, and this causes much excitement.
My third favourite place to take photos is actually my own backyard. Many birds visit here and it is a safe haven for them. We’ve created a habitat garden and we have resident blue-tongue lizards and I even have a baby water dragon residing here. Also, home’s the perfect spot for my astrophotography. Can’t resist a moon shot on a cold, clear night.

Thanks for sharing your favourite places, Christine! If you have some favourite wild places you’d like to share, get in touch.
