Night work on the Princes Highway in Fairy Meadow
August 4's Traffic Alert from Transport for NSW
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions next week in Fairy Meadow at the intersection of the Princes Highway and McGrath Street for safety upgrade work to be carried out.
Work includes replacing the traffic lights and control box, upgrading the existing pram ramps, and installing CCTV at the intersection to improve safety.
To minimise the impacts on motorists, work will be carried out at night from Sunday 9 August between 8pm and 5am, Sunday to Thursday, for up to one month, weather permitting.
Single lane closures, a reduced speed limit of 40km/h and stop/slow traffic control will be in place for the safety of workers and road users.
The traffic lights may be turned off intermittently during work hours and the site will be managed under traffic control.
Access will be maintained for businesses around the work area. Pedestrian access will also be maintained under traffic control.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the directions of signs and traffic control and allow five minutes of additional travel time.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists and the community for their patience while this work is carried out.
