Night closures ahead on Memorial Drive and M1

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions next week on Memorial Drive at North Wollongong between Lysaght Street and Bourke Street for road maintenance work. 

There will be a one-night closure of each on and off ramp to Memorial Drive at North Wollongong from Sunday 25 October to Thursday 29 October between 8pm and 4am, weather permitting.

Detours for light vehicles will be in place via Towradgi Road, Porter Street, Crown Street and Mount Ousley Road. This detour is suitable for General Access Vehicles and PBS Level 1 vehicles.  All other heavy vehicles will be guided through the work area. 

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the directions of signs and traffic control and allow an additional five minutes of travel time.

Night closure on the M1 Princes Motorway between Figtree and Dapto

Motorists are advised the M1 Princes Motorway will be closed in both directions for five nights next week between Masters Road at Figtree and the Princes Highway at Dapto for routine maintenance work.

Work will be carried out from Sunday 25 to Thursday 29 October 2026 between 8pm and 4am, weather permitting.

A detour for light vehicles will be in place via the Princes Highway. Heavy vehicles will detour via Masters Road, Springhill Road, Five Islands Road, King Street, Windang Road and Lake Entrance Road.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the direction of signs and traffic control, and allow up to 20 minutes of additional travel time depending on origin and destination.
