There were smiles aplenty as more than 100 people, including participants and volunteers, attended the Disabled Surfers Association South Coast's ocean care event and surfing day at Thirroul Beach on Saturday, 3 December.
An official welcome and general safety briefing was held from 9.30am.
Everyone went to the pool for a warm-up session on the boards before they headed down to the beach to catch some waves.
The waves were quite big and choppy but that didn't stop the event's participating surfers from having fun.
